Thoughts on Biblical Truth
TWO Expectant Mommies
Now that Danika has announced her pregnancy on FB, I could not be more pleased and proud to be the father of TWO expectant mommies.
Danika and Jared's daughter is due to be born in August.
Carissa and B.J.'s child may be born already, or may be just getting ready to enter this world any day now, or months from now. She may be a daughter, or he may be a son.
But just as we are so very excited to welcome Elliot's little sister into our lives, we can hardly wait for the day
Family Time
Having a most wonderful Richards family time, with Abel just returned from Vietnam, Danika staying with us and little Elliot at his all-time almost-two most adorable cuteness. It may easily be the most enjoyable since . . . Time and the Lord have certainly brought us a great ways in terms of healing.
Still, there are those faithful reminders.

Hope in Eternity
Famous people who have s.d.:
Shania Twain (whose doc says is caused by her chronic Lyme disease); veteran NPR announcer Diane Rehm; attorney, author and activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.; U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Scott Adams, author and creator of the comic strip, “Dilbert.”
If some of these folks “don’t sound so bad,” it’s likely because they’re enjoying a brief reprieve from a recent injection of Botox.
I’ve heard some who sound considerably worse.

Conference Recorded
You can now hear the messages from our Bible conference at Cresco Community Chapel at ehrichards.com.
You'll find six audio files; four are me on the conference theme, "Our PRESENT Heavenly Residence in the midst of our Wilderness Experience," and two devotionals; one by Karen to the ladies on Endurance (Hebrews 12:1-3) and one by me to the men, which we gave at a Saturday morning breakfast.
I recommend you listen to the main conference messages in order. The first ("Who 'Y
Final Session
Last day of the conference went very, very well.
We've made several lovely new friends, and were told the Lord ministered to hearts. Our hearts were ministered to, as well.
One concern was time. I had a LOT of material to present. Would I be constrained by the clock and end up having to speed through or cut out important stuff?
But there was ample time to fit in everything I really wanted.
Another major concern was my voice, as I mentioned. Although no one is walking a
First Session
First session last night and this morning’s devotional went well; voice a bit gravelly, but holding up better than expected (thanks to YOUR praying, I’m sure!).
Feeling wiped out and not very well right now (Lyme? Stress? Those three or four Hershey’s chocolate kisses I snitched?), so resting up for final three message wrap-up tomorrow.
THANK you so much (I’m signing “thanks VERY much” to you right now — oops 😬 see; dropped my phone!)
Conference Prayers
Please pray for our first session this evening at the three day Bible conference at Cresco Community Chapel in Iowa, especially for:
1) hearts to understand and receive what the Lord has for us all from His Word
2) clarity and strength for my voice; that my vocal spasms will not be a hindrance or distraction.
3) that there might be eternal impact from the great truths of God’s Word
Thanks so very much!

It may strike you as a bit daft or a tad morbid.
But there's one place I can go where a trace of my son lingers still.
When I play his old six string acoustic guitar, a few minutes on that fretboard leaves a distinct smell on my fingers; D'addario silk and steel, mingled with me and a slightly stronger human scent that is not me; still there, amazingly, from hours of play up in his bedroom, out under the stars, or in my old office at NTBI. Hey, Wivs.
