Pray!

Just finished final exam for ASL II. I think I did fine, as far as test grades go. I only wish my actual progress in striving for ASL fluency could be given an “A.” Man, there is such a “great and effectual door” here (I Corinthians 16:9); such a great, even overwhelming NEED among the Deaf for “epignosis;” that thorough, accurate, intimate knowledge of Jesus Christ that Paul wrote of (Ephesians 1:17-23)! And yet this feeble minister feels so painfully, reproachfully hamstrung until he can converse more fluently in the beautiful language of sign. If you’ve prayed for me, thank you so much! If you haven’t, may I presume upon you to start? And, if not for me, please, PLEASE pray for God’s Truth to hit the Deaf community like a “hurricane of love” REGARDLESS of the human instrument . . . And that He would stir in Deaf hearts a gnawing and insatiable hunger for Him and HIS WORD, along with a radical realization of the reality and the significance and the SERIOUSNESS of ETERNITY.

“Is not My Word like as a fire? Saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)

“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:6).
