The Order of Grace

The order of LAW: DO this, and live; DO this, and be blessed (Leviticus 18:4-5):

The order of GRACE (See particularly John 13-17 and the New Testament epistles):

FIRST Receive and enjoy what HE HAS DONE!

Behold how HE has poured out His Love ON YOU;

NOW. . . You, who have freely received His LIFE; Take THAT SAME LOVE and share it with a needy world!

"We love Him . . . BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US!" (I John 4:19)

"Herein is Love, NOT that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US, and gave His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

“BELOVED . . .

(in other words, you who HAVE BEEN and ARE so dearly and deeply loved!): If GOD SO LOVED US, we ought also to love one another." (I John 4:10-11)

Getting this order right is absolutely imperative to New Testament GRACE living!

"Keep yourselves in the love of God . . ." (Jude 21)

"Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God!" (I John 3:1)

"As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you; ABIDE in My Love" (John 15:9)

"For the Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts . . ." (Romans 5:5)

"A new commandment I give you, that ye love one another; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another ." (John 13:34-35)

In order to LOVE others with the real deal, the genuine, "accept no substitutes,” article; true, I Corinthians 13 AGAPE Love . . . We've first got to RECEIVE HIS LOVE, and then remain SOURCED in Him ("For LOVE is OF GOD") We absolutely need to get ourselves in the mighty, flowing stream of His Love, receiving FROM Him FIRST, and THEN, letting that which we've received be the outflow of our yielded hearts.

"And we have KNOWN and BELIEVED the love that GOD HATH TO US. God is Love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him" (I John 4:16)

“‘Run, Ernie, run,’ the Law commands, But gives me neither feet, nor hands;

A sweeter word the Gospel brings; It bids me, ‘FLY’. . BUT FIRST PROVIDES WINGS!”

"For without Me, YE CAN DO NOTHING" (John 15:5
