I know many of you are praying. Carissa is not stable. She has kept the emergency epi-pen right in her hand or right by her side all day so far. Meanwhile, she keeps “rescue dosing” herself with benadryl and does not want BJ to leave her for a minute. She does not want Karen or me out of shouting distance. For an MCAS sufferer, the ER itself, holds a multitude of scary toxic smells and substances; triggers that could cause their own reaction, or severely escalate one already in progress. For that reason, it truly is a last, desperate resort. We're on pins and needles; living by the moment. Your prayers are so very much appreciated!
