Many of you are FB friends with my daughter, Carissa, as well, so you may have seen this already. I'm posting this here for those who haven't -- in her own words (Thank you SO MUCH for praying -- Romans 15:30!):
"To sum up what I'm sorting through these days:
Just five months ago I was eating whatever I want (literally) with little to no consequence, in the Middle East, tolerating all kinds of weather, exercise and travel.
I now carry two epi-pens, rescue meds, emergency information and a filtered mask with me everywhere I go.
I don't go out when it's really hot and humid outside.
I wear a mask to go into many stores and often in church or congregations.
I'm actually not allowed to run.
I eat like a rabbit and I have to control every ingredient that goes into my mouth. My diet currently does not include: red meat, dairy, gluten, corn, oats, any processed foods, nuts, sugar, chocolate, bananas, avocados, tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, raspberries, strawberries, fermented foods, or tea. And very soon, it will not include coffee either, but I'm struggling to give it up.
And I'm currently trying to figure out what first responders would need to know to not kill me in the process of trying to save me in an emergency.
But I know, "our Deliverer, the Messiah Yeshua, who abolished death and, through the Good News, revealed life and immortality!" (II Timothy 1:10 CJB). I may live a hard and painful life, but someday I will have a new body, and I can't wait for the day that I will celebrate Yeshua face to face in Jerusalem, next to my entire family, and not have to worry what I eat at His table!"
